Program Manager
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Program Manager to guide the planning, execution and delivery of engineering programs across our product portfolio, ensuring delivery on time, on cost and on quality.
What You’ll Do
As Program Manager, you will be responsible for developing and managing project plans, aligning cross-functional stakeholders, and supporting broader engineering departmental initiatives. Reporting to the Engineering Director, you will play a key role in driving delivery across our development programs, applying best-practice program management methodologies and contributing to continuous improvement of how we deliver.

Responsibilities
- Manage and control all phases of product development using best-practice program management methodologies.
- Develop and own detailed project plans, schedules and delivery roadmaps for engineering programs from concept through launch, balancing time, cost and quality.
- Develop project cost estimations and champion cost management across the program lifecycle.
- Drive day-to-day execution by tracking milestones, managing dependencies and keeping teams unblocked.
- Track and manage project issues and risks proactively, escalating to senior leadership as needed.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with other teams, including Hardware, Software, Product Management, Manufacturing and Supply Chain, to align scope, priorities and trade-offs.
- Manage external stakeholders including contract manufacturers, ODMs and commercial partners to ensure delivery commitments are met.
- Establish and run the rhythm of business for the engineering organisation, including weekly project health reporting on time, cost and risk, leadership reviews, retrospectives and KPI tracking.
- Conduct project closure activities including handover, lessons learned and post-launch reviews to ensure knowledge is captured and reused.
- Support the Engineering Director on departmental initiatives such as operational improvements, process design and cross-team programs.
- Identify improvement areas in our program management processes and propose solutions that deliver quality products more efficiently.
- Translate between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure decisions are made with the right context.
- Apply structured program management practices across both agile and stage-gate development cycles.
Requirements
- Significant years of program or project management experience, ideally within product manufacturing or hardware development.
- Possess telecommunications, networking or connected devices industry experience.
- Strong understanding of product development lifecycles, including concept, design, validation and production phases.
- Proven experience managing time, cost and quality across complex product development programs.
- Experience managing external suppliers, contract manufacturers or engineering capacity to deliver milestones.
- Proficient with standard program management tooling such as MS Project, Jira and Confluence.
- Track record of delivering complex, cross-functional programs with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to tailor messaging from engineer to executive.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced cross-functional teams.
- Desirable technical background (e.g. computer science, software or electrical engineering).
- PMP, PRINCE2 or similar certification is preferred.
- Proactive mindset to support operational excellence at scale.
